JetSmarter: Charter Hope
Problem
JetSmarter is a unicorn startup, funded by Jay-Z, and often described as “Uber for private jets.” The product is often seen as such an extravagance that members are shy to talk about their membership and the brand is often the target of harsh criticism.
Insight
What if we could turn flying private, an act of luxury, into an act of love?
Idea
Many of America’s most vulnerable babies are often born at specialty hospitals thousands of miles from their homes. And due to complications or medical conditions, even the common cold could be life-threatening. This makes a crowded commercial flight home a real reason for worry. We developed the #CharterHope initiative, through which JetSmarter members can donate their unused flight time to allow families and their immunocompromised newborns to avoid crowded commercial airports and fly home worry-free.
